Pops of Color with Sprinkles On Top!

June 30, 2014

Hi gorgeous readers!

I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend! Sooooo I have a confession. I LOVE doughnuts. Not just any doughnuts though, I love doughnuts with icing and sprinkles. Yes, sprinkles, multi-colored ones to be exact. Sprinkles aren't just for children y'all; they're for fashionistas too!

Before you start wondering, I'm not going to start blogging about food or anything (at least not on the reg), but just explaining the title of this post! I had heard and seen pictures of the lovely doughnut mural painted on the side of Koch's Bakery in my hometown of Chattanooga & wanted to go check it out for myself! There's been a little controversy over this wall & it may be removed soon....so, I knew I had to go down there ASAP & set my eyes on this beautiful mural of doughnut-y goodness myself before it was gone forever. Oh, and take a few outfit pictures as well :) Hope y'all enjoy my OOTD...featuring a little pale pink party dress I bought on sale for FIFTEEN bucks at a boutique in Gulf Shores paired with my new turquoise purse from Target (remember when I featured it on my summer wish list HERE?) and also my neon pink heels. And behold, the doughnut wall....

Navy Nautical Romper!

June 27, 2014

Happy Friday, y'all!

Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned! Today I wanted to share with you one last outfit I wore on vacation. As soon as I saw the romper I'm wearing below at TJ Maxx, I fell in love. The scalloped shorts, the buttons down the back, the peep hole opening, the navy color...I just loved everything about this cute little number! I paired it with my Jessica Simpson striped wedges (also a TJ Maxx find from last summer) and thought all together it was perfect for wearing around a beach town as it has a bit of a nautical vibe. I wore this for a fun day of lunch & shopping with my sweet momma on our last day at the beach for her birthday! Here's how my look turned out....

{Outfit Details:}
Romper: Monteau Los Angeles from TJ Maxx (not online but ADORE this one from F21 HERE; another cute option with scalloped shorts HERE)
Wedges: Jessica Simpson (not online, but love these from UGG HERE in navy, black or red!)
Necklace: Purple Peridot (HERE

And a few snapshots from lunch with my precious family!

And a little goofing off with my nephew before our last outing to the beach....

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Thank you for reading!

Summers are for Maxi Skirts!

June 26, 2014

Hellooooo there lovely readers!!!

Today I'm back with another OOTN from my beach vacation last week! So as you know, I'm a super fan of the maxi dress (see my past posts HERE & HERE). As I've mentioned before though, I'm pretty short (5'3") and that can cause a few issues in the length department for the maxi trend. They're usually way too long for me (however, if you look in the petite section for maxi dresses of your favorite store that really helps that issue). When I was on the hunt for a maxi skirt though, the length wasn't near as big of a deal because most are made with a long waist band so you can fold the skirt up and adjust the length! I found the one I'm wearing below at Kohl's and it was on sale for around $20. I had looked high and low before I decided on this one, but it was my favorite of all I had tried, mainly because I LOVED the material & how it fit. Some I found were too clingy and there was not enough material....however this one was perfect! :) I also picked up this cute top while I was there; I loved the bright pink (although the photos don't really show how neon pink it is...blame it on the iPhone)! It also comes in other cute colors so be sure to check out the link below.

Tank: Kohl's (HERE, also be sure to check out their other cute colors!)
Maxi Skirt: Kohl's (HERE, it also comes in coral-hello! how cute would that be?)

And of course, I would like to end with a few snapshots of the evening :) We ate at this yummy place called Colbalt's and had a lovely table outside right on the water! It was the perfect spot to watch the sun go down beneath the palm trees! Sigh....I wish we were still there :)

Nephews are the best!

Thank you SO very much for reading y'all! I appreciate all your sweet comments-they seriously make my day!

XOXO
