I'll need new boots....

October 30, 2012

In particular, I'll need these.....

$498

I have been obsessed with these since I saw them online last month. They're the "Deborah Studded Short" boot by Frye. I would LOVE more than anything to own a pair of Frye boots. SO sassy!!!! Check them out HERE.

Or maybe I'll need these....

I am also quite fond of the beautiful boots below by Old Gringo from Country Outfitters. How adorable is this boot with the multi-colored flowers?! And also, what is it with me and cowgirl boots?

$560

Check the above boots out HERE. One look at these boots and I have thoughts dancing in my head of wearing these with a white sundress in the summer or with my skinny jeans tucked into them this fall. :) Tell me I'm not the only one who daydreams about boots!

Oh and in case you're reading this Santa, I wear a size 7. :)

What boots are you falling for this fall???

[Disclaimer: I am NOT a cowgirl, despite the cowgirl boot obsessed nature of this post]

Thanks so much for reading dolls!

Halloween Weekend Recap!!!

October 28, 2012

Hi beautiful readers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! It always seems like the weekend flies by and Monday rolls back around way too soon. This weekend was full of making some great memories (and taking lots of pictures) with my sweet boyfriend in my hometown!

Thursday night we went out to dinner with my parents and saw Taken 2. I absolutely LOVED the original Taken movie (Hearing Liam Neeson say "I have a specialized set of skills...." never gets old) and enjoyed Taken 2 as well. Of course you know how sequels can be....sometimes predictable and usually NEVER as good as the first. Anyway enough about movies and on to the FASHION!!! I decided to pair my leopard print smoking slippers with my red jeans (I just LOVE the look of leopard print with red). Here was my OOTD/OOTN:

Jean jacket: Old Navy
Red jeans: American Eagle
White t-shirt: Philosophy
Smoking slippers: Target (remember when I bought them HERE?!)

Walking around in downtown Chattanooga after dinner!!
Purse: Charming Charlie's

Saturday we went out to lunch with my family and then ran around town putting together costumes for a Halloween party we attended that night. For a casual OOTD Saturday afternoon I wore a classic look: a black sweater with a trench coat and my black riding boots:

Trench coat: F21
Sweater: Kohl's
Jeans: Jessica Simpson
Boots: Arturo Chiang

With my sweet Nana!

So then the fun began of deciding on a Halloween costume for a party we had Saturday night (shout out to Cady & Kyle for throwing a super fun party!!!). We went through lots of ideas but finally decided on a cat and dog.....me being the cat and Bill being the dog. You know....the dog always chases the cat, so that's an appropriate couples costume right? Originally the idea was to do something like "raining cats and dogs" and have an umbrella, etc....but the idea of carrying props around all night wasn't all that appealing. :)

Ladies if you're looking for a quick and easy Halloween costume a cat is the ticket! All of the Halloween stores (Party City, Halloween Express, etc) have TONS of cat accessories (ears, tails, masks, etc). I decide this would be an easy but cute idea because I could pair clothes I already own with cat accessories. I decided to wear all black (black pants & a top) and be a black cat. I topped the look off with red lipstick (I LOVE the shade....it's called "Love That Red" #725 by Revlon). I mean let's be honest, what cat doesn't like a little red lipstick?

Here's how our costumes turned out....

Woof.
Meow.

Black long-sleeve t-shirt: H&M
Black pants: H&M
Heels: Guess
Cat Accessories: Party City :)

He's SUCH a good sport for letting me paint his face and making him my playful pup! :)

So who all is dressing up for Halloween!? Leave me a comment and let me know what you're going to be!!!

Thank you as always for reading!! :)

OOTD: Ballet Buns & Scarves

October 27, 2012

Happy Saturday dolls!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far!! I know mine has been great. My sweet boyfriend is in Chattanooga this weekend to visit & we have had an awesome weekend so far.

I wanted to do a quick post this afternoon on an OOTD I wore last week. So ladies, you know about those hair days where your hair just isn't cooperating and all you want to do is just get it out of your way so you can move on with your day? I was having one of THOSE hair days last week on my way to class so the perfect solution = a ballet bun. A big, over-the-top, Carrie Bradshaw-esque big ballet bun to sit on the top of my head as a no-fuss hairdo where I could get on with my day! Not to mention it literally took me 5 minutes to style. Paired with a scarf, t-shirt (by the way, a very FABULOUS Marc Nelson Denim t-shirt, check them out here) and jeans and I was out the door (but not before I took a few photos for my blog. Priorities!)....

T-Shirt: Marc Nelson Denim (HERE)
Scarf: New York & Co.
Jeans: Jessica Simpson
Ballet Flats: BCBG

Hope y'all have a super stylish weekend. I'm signing off to go shop around for a costume to wear for a Halloween party the BF & I are attending tonight. We have some good ideas....hope we can pull it off :) Isn't Halloween so much fun!? Be looking for a blog post on THAT soon!

Thank you for reading dolls!!!

My Weekend in Pictures :)

October 23, 2012

Happy Tuesday!

Since yesterday was Taylor Swift Album Release Day, I obviously couldn't blog about my weekend so I thought I would save it for today. We had such a fun weekend....here's what it looked like:

Thursday night Bill & I had a great date night eating dinner at Genghis Grill and seeing Paranormal Activity 4. Of course October and Halloween equates to scary movies!! Here was my OOTN:

Sweater: Ann Taylor
Pants: H&M
Boots: Arturo Chiang
Sunglasses: Ralph Lauren

Friday night was a pep rally featuring Dierks Bentley. A FREE concert!?!? With one of my favorite country music artists and friends and boyfriend?! Talk about AWESOME!

The next day was the UT vs. Alabama game. Even though we didn't win, it was still so much fun to dress in orange (oh and black and white)....

Dress: Forever 21
Sweater: H&M
Belt: NY & Co.
Boots:
Arturo Chiang

TN vs Alabama game

Sunday Bill and I carved pumpkins (cough cough he carved mine after I showed him the design I wanted from Pinterest. My artistic abilities are very limited haha). Here's how they turned out. Mine is the goofy looking one on the left :)

How was your weekend?! :) Leave me a comment and let me know!

Thanks so much for reading dolls!
