Hat & Stripes

January 30, 2014

Hi dolls!

As y'all have probably seen on the news, we have had a snow/ice storm down here in the south, and temps are FREEZING! So don't be confused by today's post...in which I'm wearing an outfit from last week when the temps weren't so cold. All last December, I was on the hunt for an awesome black floppy winter hat, and I found the perfect one at Target (unfortunately it's no longer on the Target website anymore or else I would leave a link). I think I love these hats so much because I always see the fabulous Rachel Zoe being photographed in them. I also found a great deal on the blouse I'm wearing below at a boutique inside my local mall. There's something I just LOVE about black and white stripes....so classic. I paired my look with a bright cobalt blue statement necklace for a pop of color. Here's how my look turned out....

Top: Selah (local boutique)
Hat: Target (similar HERE)
Boots: Frye
Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Thank you SO much for reading! And for those who are in the freezing temps, stay warm!

ModCloth Uniquely You Campaign

January 23, 2014

Hi dolls!!

I'm super excited to share my post with you today! Last week a representative from ModCloth contacted me asking me to participate in their "Uniquely You" campaign. If you don't know about ModCloth, definitely check out their website for some SUPER cute clothes!!! The goal was to style an outfit on Polyvore featuring the ModCloth Diagonal Alley Coat in black. First of all, I love this coat. The diagonal zipper adds character and I love the collar. I wanted it to really pop with my outfit, so I paired it with a bright red skirt, a peplum striped top (I love peplum tops), and leopard wedges. I love the combination of red and black, and I also love mixing stripes with leopard so this outfit is definitely "uniquely" me!!! You can check out the coat HERE. Here is how the look turned out...

Neon & Flowers

January 16, 2014

Hi lovely readers!

Hope y'all are having a great week! So the look below is one of my favorite outfits lately. I love wearing a longer sweater with tights, my riding boots and a statement necklace. It's so comfortable and perfect for going to class and running around town!! Forever 21 happens to have some great basic sweaters in some really pretty colors. And of course, no outfit is complete without a statement necklace. It always adds just the right amount of personality. I especially love the flower statement necklace I'm wearing in the pictures below! The flowers make me so excited for spring!!! So, on to the pictures! (Also, I know I have 3 different hairstyles in these pics...I just couldn't decide on one, haha!)

 Sweater: Forever 21
Tights: Charlotte Russe
Boots: Frye (HERE)
Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Also, in other exciting news, I've been trying on wedding dresses. I am SO excited that I think  I found "the one." I'm going to look at one more store...but I know I'm going to compare every dress to this one. For all my readers out there who are married/engaged, what was it like when you found your wedding dress!? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Thank you so much for reading!!! I hope y'all are having a fabulous week! :)

Winter Brights

January 7, 2014

Hellooooo dahlings!!!

I hope everyone is having a great week! It is still FREEZING here in Tennessee (today it was in the single digits), so I've been all about wearing some warm cozy sweaters lately. And what's better to brighten up a cold winter day than hot pink??! That's why I absolutely love this sweater from Forever 21. The color is so happy and even better it's super warm. I've also been obsessing over statement necklaces lately, and let me tell you, Charlotte Russe is a great place to go for reasonably priced statement necklaces. So here's two different ways to wear one sweater....

Necklace: Charlotte Russe (see all necklaces here)

And here's another way I wore this sweater...layered over my plaid shirt and a different statement necklace!

Rainy Day Calls for Hunter Boots!

January 6, 2014

Hi there fabulous readers!

I hope y'all have had a great weekend. Sooo we have had some coooooooold weather this past week in Tennessee and tonight through Tuesday it's supposed to be even colder, which honestly I haven't been too upset about because I'm getting a chance to wear one of my Christmas presents! My sweet Nana gave me some Hunter boots for Christmas and I am in L-O-V-E. I debated whether I should get the classic black or bright red but I finally decided that the bright, glossy red (in Hunter it's "Pillar Box Red") would be MUCH more fun for a rainy day. I have always loved adding a pop of red to an outfit so I thought these would be perfect. So needless to say, I was super excited to be able to wear my Hunter boots when it rained this past week! Here's how my rainy day look turned out....

Boots: Hunter (HERE)
Sweater: Forever 21 (no longer available online, similar here)
Leggings: New Balance
Hat: Forever 21 (not online, similar style here)
Jewelry: Charming Charlie's; Stella & Dot (here)

I hope everyone stays warm if it's cold in your neck of the woods! :)

Leopard Print for the New Year!

January 2, 2014

Happy New Year darlings!!!!

How was your New Year's Eve?! I hope everyone had a fabulous time & that 2014 is treating you great so far! My fiancĂ© and I had a super fun evening at a local place called the Foundry. We played pool and shuffle boards and danced the night away to live music! New Year's Eve is one of my favorite times to dress up because some of my favorite things are ALWAYS appropriate: glitter, sequins, and fur! I went with the fur this year in my Juicy couture leopard print coat and a LBD. You can never go wrong with a little black dress, right?! Here's my OOTN:

Dress: Forever 21
Coat: Juicy Couture
Heels: Jessica Simpson
Necklace: Charming Charlie (similar HERE)
Bracelet: Stella & Dot (HERE)

While I loved my Jessica Simpson heels, I did have to switch to my new black Frye boots (Christmas present from my sweet parents!). Sometimes comfort wins over cute (hardly ever though).

I'm looking forward to another year of blogging and hope to network with all of you!! Thank you so much for reading, as always! It means the world to me! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

XOXO
