Happy New Year's Eve Eve, dolls!

I am so excited to share this post with y'all today! We are actually in the car on our way to Savannah, GA for a fun NYE weekend (don't worry - hubby is driving while I blog lol). I know I don't normally post blogs on Saturday, but I had to share this look with y'all in case you're still looking for a NYE #OOTN!

So, let's face it, you can't go wrong with sequins for New Year's Eve (or any formal event for that matter). When I saw this black sequin number in H&M this week, I knew I had to buy it for our trip!!! One problem I have had with some sequin pieces in the past is that they are incredibly itchy. However, this dress is NOT itchy in the slightest!! It is completely lined, AND the dress is actually made of velvet (a huge trend for this winter) so it's soft!!! I love the look of a long-sleeve dress because it adds a touch of class, plus it's so cold out for NYE it adds a little warmth.

If I had a NYE party indoors to attend, I would definitely wear this dress as I have styled it in these pictures. This year, since we are actually going to be outside for a good bit of our evening on NYE, I am planning on pairing my dress with tights & boots. This dress is DEFINITELY versatile so don't shy away because it makes such a statement! Oh, and I paired it with simple jewelry so that the sequins can do all the talking! Haha!

If you follow me on Instagram (here), you may have seen where I got a bar cart as a Christmas present from my parents! I have wanted one of these FOREVER and when I saw this one at At Home, I decided it needed to make its way into our place! So far, I styled it for Christmas and placed it as a sort of "end table" at one end of our couch. But, for NYE, I thought I would show y'all how versatile a bar cart really is! You can seriously change the total look of it with just different accessories. For NYE, I had to throw on some sparkling grape juice, flutes, NYE hats/party favors, a NYE candle, and THE cutest NYE banner!!! If we were having friends over, this would be the perfect way to serve drinks as a sort of "drink station" to add extra, FASHIONABLE, counter space!!! I could not be happier with this purchase. I have linked an almost identical bar cart in the widget above, and also in the text underneath the pictures above!

SOOOO what are y'alls plans for NYE!? We are so excited to be in Savannah, eat lots of yummy food, and just be together to celebrate the upcoming New Year!!

Thank you SO much for reading and following along with my blog. I love you ALL!!!!

XOXO

Happy almost weekend, dolls!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far! We are gearing up for our trip out of town to Savannah this weekend for NYE and we are so excited! We made our dinner reservations today (thanks to YOU, my fabulous readers, who sent me suggestions on Instagram!) and I also started to plan my #ootd and #ootn (shooting my NYE outfit tomorrow so it will be coming to y'all this weekend!) for our trip!

So before we left for another out of town trip, I wanted to post this look from a few weeks ago when we went to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for the weekend! Especially since many areas in the south are calling for some snow this weekend, I thought I would share some Snowy Day Outfit inspiration! When we had planned our Gatlinburg weekend away a few months ago, we obviously had no clue it would be snowing the weekend we went so when it DID snow, it literally was just the perfect addition to our trip!

This cozy fleece sweater from H&M is PERFECT for the snow because it's nice and warm (not to mention CUTE!). I have to give a shoutout to one of my favorite bloggers Kate, over at Lonestar Southern (check out her amazing blog HERE) for posting this sweater on her Instagram account! I knew it would be perfect for our snowy trip to G-burg a few weeks ago, and it definitely proved to be! At $25, you seriously can't beat the value for this adorable sweater! Of course, to top off your look you need a CUTE coat! This one from Forever 21 proved to be perfect for the snowy day. To top my look off, I added my red Hunters. These were a Christmas gift a few years ago and I have worn them SO MUCH since. Red really goes with so much and I love that it adds a pop of color to a mostly neutral outfit. I definitely recommend buying a pair of Hunter boot socks to add some warmth to your boots for the snowy days!

We had so much fun on our little Gatlinburg getaway a few weeks ago so I wanted to include a selfie of me and my precious Instagram/Blogger hubby! He's seriously the best. Can't wait for our trip away this weekend as well!

Thank you SO much for reading dolls!! Stay tuned for another NYE look coming your way!!

XOXO

Hi dolls!

I hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful Christmas! We loved spending time with family and our closest friends the past few days. Nothing like a holiday surrounded by your loved ones to make you realize how blessed you truly are!

So now that Christmas is over, the countdown to NYE is officially ON! New Year's Eve is another one of my favorite holidays of the year! It is so much fun to ring in the New Year with the one you love most. Today, my hubby and I booked a spur of the moment trip to Savannah for NYE and we are SO excited!!! With that being said, if you have any recommendations on places to eat/things to do in Savannah, send them my way! We can't wait!

Since NYE is just around the corner, I wanted to share a look that would be perfect for a more low key NYE celebration. My motto for NYE is usually "the more sparkles/glitter/sequins, the better" but for this post, I wanted to showcase another look you can wear on NYE if you aren't a huge fan of sparkles, but still want to wear a cute outfit. The faux leather skirt, OTK heeled boots, and the hot pink add a little FUN to this look! This sweater is one of my absolute favorites this season. I sized up to a Medium for an off-the-shoulder look. I am also convinced every girl needs a faux leather skirt in her closet. I have styled mine SO many ways this season (see another way I styled this skirt HERE) and it seriously can be styled with so much. Since the skirt is more form-fitting, I decided to pair it with a more oversized look on top to balance out the fitted skirt.

So what are YOUR plans for NYE!? Leave me a comment and let me know! Also, stay tuned for more NYE outfit inspo later this week! Thank you SO much for reading, dolls!

XOXO,
Ashley
