A score in my book!) // Heels: Mix No. 6 at DSW (here; some of my faves! Only $35!) // Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington (here, wearing 32 mm! Check out my Insta gram HERE for a 15% off code!)

Happy New Year's Eve Eve, dolls!
I am so excited to share this post with y'all today! We are actually in the car on our way to Savannah, GA for a fun NYE weekend (don't worry - hubby is driving while I blog lol). I know I don't normally post blogs on Saturday, but I had to share this look with y'all in case you're still looking for a NYE #OOTN!
So, let's face it, you can't go wrong with sequins for New Year's Eve (or any formal event for that matter). When I saw this black sequin number in H&M this week, I knew I had to buy it for our trip!!! One problem I have had with some sequin pieces in the past is that they are incredibly itchy. However, this dress is NOT itchy in the slightest!! It is completely lined, AND the dress is actually made of velvet (a huge trend for this winter) so it's soft!!! I love the look of a long-sleeve dress because it adds a touch of class, plus it's so cold out for NYE it adds a little warmth.
If I had a NYE party indoors to attend, I would definitely wear this dress as I have styled it in these pictures. This year, since we are actually going to be outside for a good bit of our evening on NYE, I am planning on pairing my dress with tights & boots. This dress is DEFINITELY versatile so don't shy away because it makes such a statement! Oh, and I paired it with simple jewelry so that the sequins can do all the talking! Haha!
If you follow me on Instagram (here), you may have seen where I got a bar cart as a Christmas present from my parents! I have wanted one of these FOREVER and when I saw this one at At Home, I decided it needed to make its way into our place! So far, I styled it for Christmas and placed it as a sort of "end table" at one end of our couch. But, for NYE, I thought I would show y'all how versatile a bar cart really is! You can seriously change the total look of it with just different accessories. For NYE, I had to throw on some sparkling grape juice, flutes, NYE hats/party favors, a NYE candle, and THE cutest NYE banner!!! If we were having friends over, this would be the perfect way to serve drinks as a sort of "drink station" to add extra, FASHIONABLE, counter space!!! I could not be happier with this purchase. I have linked an almost identical bar cart in the widget above, and also in the text underneath the pictures above!
SOOOO what are y'alls plans for NYE!? We are so excited to be in Savannah, eat lots of yummy food, and just be together to celebrate the upcoming New Year!!
Thank you SO much for reading and following along with my blog. I love you ALL!!!!
XOXO

Life Lately: A Huge Update & My First Post in a YEAR!
September 25, 2016
Hi dolls!
Oh my goodness. It has literally been over a year since I have posted on my little corner of the Internet, on my beloved Ashley's Passion for Fashion. I started this blog back in 2011 as an outlet for me to share with whoever wanted to read about my LOVE for fashion. Since then, fashion blogs have exploded left and right, and also since then, my life has gotten INSANELY busy, and unfortunately posting about my passion for fashion took a backseat (however, that is not to say that I am not still SERIOUSLY obsessed with fashion).
When I first started this blog FIVE (wow! FIVE!) years ago, I had just graduated from UT Knoxville (GO VOLS!!! Who saw that big W last night against the Gators?!) and was in the process of figuring out my future plans. Since my last post on June 12, 2015, a LOT has happened!!! I thought for my first post back, I would give y'all a little recap in pics (because if you didn't take a picture it didn't happen right??)
1. I found the LOVE of my LIFE! He popped the question April 24 of this year...best day EVER! More to come on that later :) We can't wait to become husband & wife!
2. I graduated nursing school & work as a cardiac nurse now!!
3. I am currently studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner! This has been such a huge blessing in my life. I am SO thankful to God for all the doors He has opened. He has guided my path every step of the way and I continue to go where He leads!!!
4. I bought a Tiffany Blue KitchenAid Mixer (or technically "Ice Blue" if you wanna get technical thanks to KitchenAid). Yes, that is a VERY important life event because it makes our life so much YUMMIER (is that even a word? lol). And also, I LOVE decorating...so stay tuned for some home decor (and maybe even cooking) posts as well!
Sooooo....as you can tell, life has been BUSY, but has been filled with SO MANY blessings!!!
To make a long story short (if you call the above approximately 50 pictures short ;)), I want to start this blog back as just an outlet/hobby to post about fashion/beauty (I seriously have missed posting OOTD's and OOTN's), but also to document my journey of wedding planning, nursey life, travels, fun stuff my fiancé & I do together, home decor, and cooking!
Thank you SO MUCH for reading!!! Be checking back for my next post :)
XOXO
