Hi dolls!

I seriously can't believe how fast time is literally flying by (which is fine by me because that means our wedding day is even closer...😍  swoon...). Between school, clinicals, wedding planning, spending time with family, & working on some blogging projects coming soon, life has been busy, but I feel so blessed 💕

The look I'm sharing with you today is one of my favorites for a date night, or a night out with friends! There is just something about fringe that is so sassy and fun, which translates into being perfect for the weekend, am I right!? This is a skirt I bought a couple of years ago at Dillard's and is by the CUTEST brand called Chelsea & Violet. I actually purchased it for a Kip Moore concert with my friends and it's been the perfect staple piece in my wardrobe ever since (not to mention it's great to wear while rocking out to some country music, one of my favorite past times, lol 😂). It's definitely a fabulous transition piece from winter into spring as you can pair it with a sleeveless top & throw on a leather jacket, as I did here! For an edgy look, it would be SO cute paired with Converse sneakers or OTK boots!

I decided to go for a monochromatic look for my OOTN, but added color with my pop of turquoise in my necklace, red lips, and of course, the ever so timeless leopard print. I absolutely love these Sam Edelman pumps I scored at TJ Maxx & I find myself pairing them with so many things (see another way I have styled them here). Leopard print heels are another closet staple for me! Not to mention, I think they really added to the "fun" vibe of this outfit. Fringe + leopard print = a winning combination in my book! And that, ladies & gents, is my kind of mathematical equation...haha!

I hope y'all have a fabulous week. Thank you SO much for reading; I appreciate each & every one of you! Be on the lookout for some fun projects coming soon to APFF!

XOXO

{Outfit Details}
Sweater: Kohl's (last year, but ADORE 😉  this one here)
Jeans: Lucky Brand (here, and similar here and here)
Heels: BCBGeneration (via DSW, here)
Choker: Forever 21 (here)
Wristlet: Target (here, on sale for $8.48!)

Happy Monday, dolls!

So I know this may sound silly to some, but Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. Basically because it combines all of the things that I absolutely love (no pun intended haha): pink, red, hearts, candy, flowers, and LOVE (my man!). 😍  Heart-eye emoji x one million y'all! Since I love V-Day so much, obviously I had to share a Valentine inspired look (with hopefully more to come!).

The outfit I'm wearing above would be perfect for a casual date night on Valentine's Day! Like a dinner & a movie kind of date! I bought this sweater last year from Kohl's, mostly because I have an obsession with the French language (I took it from 7th grade through my freshman year of college)! Unfortunately it is no longer online but I linked a VERY cute one similar to the one I'm wearing in the link above.

So let's talk about these heels!! I have that loving feeling for sure over these beauties! I know y'all are familiar with the Valentino Rockstud pumps (see them here) and that they retail for $995. However, don't despair. When I was in DSW a couple of weekends ago, I saw the heels I'm wearing above by BCBG, for only $70...AND they were on sale! They are THE perfect Dupe for the Valentino Rockstuds. Not to mention, they are surprisingly comfy! What more could you ask for in a pair of heels!?

To finish my look, I accessorized with this super cute wristlet from Target. I love that it is black with gold studs, as it tied in well with my heels! I have an obsession with all things black & gold AND this is on major sale right now!

What are you planning on wearing for Valentine's Day this year!? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Thanks SO much for reading, dolls! Have a fabulous week!

A Sparkly, Sequined-Filled Christmas!

December 22, 2016

{Outfit Details}
Sweater: Old Navy (exact not online, similar here, here)
Pants: may & july (found exact pair here on Poshmark, similar here)
Lace-up Flats: Old Navy (here)

Can y'all believe Christmas is only 3 days away!? Tonight I wanted to share a few pics my sweet fiancé took a few weeks ago under the Christmas tree! Y'all may recognize this white fur throw from my post here. I had no clue when I bought this throw on Black Friday it would come in so handy for blogging! Haha!

So I have to tell the story behind these pants. Yes there is a story! Doesn't it make all kinds of sense that a sequin pair of pants would have a good story to go along with them? One day I walked into work, and one of my best friends at work (who I fondly refer to as my "Work Mommy") had an early Christmas present for me. Can you guess what it was!? I kind of made it obvious, but YES, she gave me the sequin pants I'm wearing in this post for Christmas! I have been wanting a pair of sequin leggings for FOREVER and I was SO excited she gave them to me (the perfect gift)!!! Not to mention, these are SO comfy!!! They are sequins on the outside, but the lining is made of the softest cotton. Y'all seriously need a pair. Plus, what is more perfect for the holidays (and NYE) than sequins!? My trick for wearing sequin pants is to make them the "star of the show" (to borrow a song lyric from Thomas Rhett 😉) and down-play the rest of my outfit. For instance, I decided to wear a casual, simple sweater to make the pants really shine (no pun intended...).

Also, let's talk about these lace-up flats. Y'all may remember this was on my Fall Wish List. I love these shoes and the ballerina vibe they give (I used to do ballet when I was little!). Since this is a trendy item, I didn't want to spend a fortune on a pair of shoes. So, enter Old Navy, my go-to for trendy pieces at affordable prices. I may be guilty of buying these shoes in 4 different colors (I bought the black & olive green in the store, but ordered the gold & red online!). This gold pair is perfect for the holiday season! Check them out at the link under my picture above.

Are y'all ready for Christmas!? I have finally finished my shopping but have to finish wrapping gifts...I better get to that!

Thanks SO much for reading, as always, I appreciate you all! Also, be sure to enter my giveaway HERE, it closes in only 8 days!

A Leopard Print & Black Holiday Look!

November 23, 2016

{Outfit Details}
Bodysuit: Forever 21 (here)
Skirt: Forever 21 (here)
Heels: Sam Edelman (here)
Clutch: Purple Peridot (here, on sale for only $25!)
Sunnies: BP. (here)

Happy (almost) Turkey Day, dolls!

I can't even believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Seriously where has the time gone?! I am so excited the holiday season is finally here because y'all know what that means: holiday fashion! And what's even better than holiday fashion is holiday fashion that doesn't break the bank!

The look I'm wearing above TOTAL cost me right at $100! If y'all saw my Forever 21 shopping haul video (here), you know that I picked up the skirt & the body suit I'm wearing above when I went on this F21 trip. Forever 21 is a great option for your trendy pieces that you don't want to invest a ton of $$ in if you'll only be wearing the outfit a few times. I absolutely LOVE this skirt; the material & quality is AMAZING! I also have always loved tea-length as it gives a classy, refined look to any outfit. It's also perfect for twirling, as you can tell from my photos I had to try it out 😉 ! Body suits are also ideal for pairing with skirts as you don't have to worry about them coming untucked or looking bulky underneath your skirt. Also this one in particular I LOVE because of the detail crochet on the front & the low back. It definitely makes a statement!!

So...if you've clicked the link above for the Sam Edelman heels, you may ask HOW this outfit can be under $100 when the shoes are actually $140. Well my friends, let me tell ya about my best friend TJ Maxx! Yes I am a Maxxinista, and yes I bought these shoes there for ONLY $29! So if you have a TJ Maxx where you are, trust me when I say look in the SALE aisle! If you dig around, they have some of the cutest things on sale (I'm talking super cute brands like Sam Edelman). Totally worth the hunt! I can't wait to dress these down with jeans as well during the holiday season! Finally, I love the leopard clutch I'm wearing in my OOTD, and it is from one of my favorite online boutiques Purple Peridot. They normally have awesome sales on the cutest things from jewelry to clutches! Be sure to check them out!

I'm so excited to wear this outfit for a holiday party this season!!! I also am planning on pairing this skirt with a bright colored sweater for a different holiday look this season, so stay tuned for that! I firmly believe that holiday fashion does not have to be super expensive but can be fashion-forward AND affordable at the same time!

Are y'all excited about Thanksgiving tomorrow!? I seriously can't wait to spend time with those I love the most (& watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the morning; one of my favorite holiday traditions)! I hope everyone has a super blessed day!!! And be sure to check back for a roundup of some of my Black Friday sale picks! Thanks SO much for reading dolls!!!

The ($7!) Blanket Scarf!

October 18, 2016

{Outfit Details}
Scarf: Target (not online-bummer! But love this, this, and this)
Denim: Articles of Society (here)
Sweater: H&M (not online, similar here & here)
Heels: Old Navy (last year, but love this year's style here)
Handbag: LV (here)

Happy Tuesday dolls!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I spent mine working (that RN life ya know ;)), but Friday night my man took me out to dinner at our fave Italian restaurant in town, Tony's! (seriously, if you ever visit Chattanooga you should check it out. It is in the Bluff View Art District which has the CUTEST little restaurants/coffee shops & offers a gorgeous view of the TN river and downtown Chatt---ok, shameless promotion of my city is over ;) lol). Before we went out to dinner Friday, I did some grocery shopping @ Target, and just so happened to find THE CUTEST BLANKET SCARF EVER, for only $7!!! I have tried to find it on their website but to no avail; I'm thinking because it was in with the Target Dollar Spot section (which is not online). Nonetheless, I picked up the scarf I'm wearing in the pictures above & another gray/black one---2 blanket scarves for $14. What a steal! AND, besides being super cute, they are also SUPER soft...like I'm talking, they feel like they cost a lot more than only $7! So next time you go to get "groceries" at Target, check out the Dollar Spot Section to see if these scarves are in stock!

Also, can we talk about these jeans?! I had been on the hunt for some black ripped denim, and fell in LOVE with these when I tried them on in Nordstrom. They are super comfortable and not to mention super cute. I have an obsession with ripped denim (I promise you this won't be the only time you see me wearing it on the blog). I love how unexpected it is...it just adds a sort of edginess to any outfit (& let's face it, anyone who knows me knows I'm anything BUT edgy, so anytime I can add a bit of "edginess" to my look, I'm all in!). And I loved the way they went with my leopard heels. Leopard is a neutral in my book, so I thought the shoes tied in perfectly with the scarf! ;)

Thanks so much for reading dolls. I appreciate each & every one of you!
