Saying Goodbye to Summer (and a fall trend I'm excited about!)

Hi dolls!!!
I hope all my readers have been wonderful! I have started a new semester of nursing school so things have been SUPER busy, and I seriously can't believe it's already September!!! I am so excited for fall and all the new fashion it brings, but I thought I would post just one last "summer" outfit (a white dress in fact-yes I am aware that it is a few days AFTER Labor Day, but don't fret, I wore this outfit back in August!). Last month I went to see Kenny Chesney in Atlanta...and as I know I've shared with you before, I absolutely ADORE me some Kenny! So for the concert last month I wore this white lace dress from H&M with my brown cowgirl boots. Seriously, does anything say "I love country music and summer time" more than a white lace dress with cowgirl boots!? :) Exactly, nothing does! Here's how my outfit turned out....

So even though down here in Tennessee the weather is still in the 80s and 90s every day, I know fall weather will be here soon! I wanted to shared with you one item I am so excited to add to my fall wardrobe: a new motorcycle leather jacket! I do have a brown leather jacket from Gap that has been a classic wardrobe staple for a few years, but I REALLY want to add a black one to my wardrobe. I can picture it casual with jeans and boots, or it would be so easy and cute to wear over a dress!!! The one I'm currently crushing on is only $49.94 from Old Navy, and this weekend there is a sale for 25% off using the code "grownup." Maybe I should invest! What do y'all think!?!?

Black, White & a Pop of (Neon!) Pink!

Hello there dolls!
So as I shared in my last post, y'all know I LOVE me some H&M! With that being said, today I bring you yet another item I bought on my last trip to H&M...this black & white striped dress! I can't ever have enough black & white pieces, & I'm also a sucker for stripes (and polka dots, as y'all probably know). Black & white stripes are just SO classic but for a fun twist, I paired my black and white with neon pink accessories (heels, earrings and a little arm party)! So. much. fun. Plus I think this dress will be perfect for transitioning into fall with a jacket and boots! Here's how my OOTN turned out....

H&M Leopard Print Skirt!

Hi dolls!
So as all my fashionistas out there probably already know, H&M launched their website online in the US last week and this makes SO incredibly happy since 1) it's my absolute favorite store and 2) the closest H&M is about 2 hours away. SO with that being said, I'm super pumped that all I have to do now is just get online and I am a click away from H&M heaven!! :) In honor of the new online store, I thought I would do an OOTD post showing my new leopard print skirt I bought from H&M when I visited the Nashville store a few weeks ago!! I thought I would show two different ways I have worn it: 1) with a black top and wedges and 2) with a red top and sandals (I just LOVE red with leopard print!).
And with a red top...
Are y'all as excited as I am about the H&M online store being open in the US!? :)

Maxi Madness

Hi lovely readers!
One trend I have LOVED this summer (and that has been big some past summers as well) is the maxi dress. I love that they can be dressed up or down, and can be formal or casual. I mean what's more girly than wearing a long, floor length dress?! I wish I had more maxi dresses, but I run into the problem that because I am only a mere 5'3, most are WAY too long for me. So here's a tip for all the girls out there who are short like me: look in the petite section of your favorite store! That's where I found the yellow/white flower maxi dress I'm wearing in my OOTN post below from Ann Taylor Loft. I love the happy yellow shade of this dress and the flower print!

Neon Polka Dotted Dress by Princess Vera Wang!

Hi dolls!!!
I know I have professed this on my blog before, but I am one of those girls who is just obsessed with all things about the royal family. I just absolutely LOVE Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. She's beautiful, classy, elegant and has AMAZING style!!! It made me so happy to see her in a classic blue dress with white polka dots as she left the hospital with her newborn baby boy today. I loved that she wore polka dots, just as Princess Diana did when leaving the hospital with newborn baby Prince William years before! It's no secret I love polka dots, and it just goes to show how classic and timeless they are (I mean they are even fit for royalty)! So for this outfit post, I wanted to show a more modern polka dot look in my black dress with neon polka dots by Princess Vera Wang dress from Kohl's (which I used to LOVE the Princess Vera Wang perfume, so I was really excited to see this clothing line in stores)! Here's how it turned out...
