Over-the-Knee Boots

The Shirtdress + Scarf Combo

January 5, 2017

 {Outfit Details}
Shirtdress: F21 (not online, love these options here, here)
Scarf:BP (here, exact one not available but dupes here & here)
Boots: Target (here)

So this orange scarf was one of my first fall purchases last fall from Nordstrom from their BP line. If y'all haven't checked out the BP line's clothes & accessories, stop what you're doing and go HERE! They seriously have some of THE cutest things, and for very affordable prices. Which, may I add, is one of my favorite things about fashion! Finding affordable yet cute pieces. There is nothing better. Fashion does NOT have to break the bank. It is 100% possible to dress stylish and not spend a fortune!

Shirt dresses are one of my favorite fashions. Not only are they comfortable, but they offer that effortlessly cute look! This one is an older version from F21, but I have linked 2 really cute options above. The one I am wearing has a draw-string cinch waist, which gives the option of accentuating your waist, but, if you would rather wear it loser that is totally possible with the draw-string waist as well.

I love the way a scarf looks paired with a shirtdress! It adds some color and style to a monochromatic dress. This scarf is one of my favorites I have bought this past fall/winter season. Y'all know I'm obsessed with my blanket scarves! I love scarves like some people love shoes, haha! I firmly believe you can never have too many.

2017 is starting out great so far! I am currently in Nashville for school. So far I've been busy studying and then wedding planning in my downtime. Our wedding is getting SO close and I can't wait!!! Speaking of getting wedding ready, my main New Year's resolution is to start drinking more water. As a nurse/future NP, I am well-aware of the health benefits of drinking water. However, I will be honest with y'all...I just don't care for it very much! I would rather be drinking a Diet Coke, haha. So, my trick for trying to drink more water is to use my pretty hot pink Yeti cup that one of my besties gave me (thanks Gracie!). As funny as it may sound, there's something about drinking out of a pretty cup that makes it more appealing to me. So my goal is to drink 3 Yeti-full cups of water a day. Proud to say that I met my goal today! One day at a time right?! Does anyone have any tips for making drinking water more enjoyable?? I would love to hear them!

Anyway, thanks so much for reading dolls!!!! I always appreciate each and everyone of you who take the time out of your day to check out my blog posts.

Hi dolls!

Can I get a "woohoo" that it's almost Friday!? Today I'm sharing with you another one of my favorite fall looks. A few weeks ago when I was in Nashville for school, I went shopping at Nordstrom & their BP. collection is seriously OBSESSION. I saw this moto jacket and I HAD to have it. Moto jackets are totally on trend this season and are SO versatile. Pair it with a dress to make it more casual or jeans to add some edge to your outfit. The BP. one I'm wearing above has the cutest zipper & gold button detail (I always have & always will love black & gold together!). Not to mention it's also light-weight so it's been perfect for this awkward "transitioning" period we've had in TN (translation: the cool mornings and then the temps rising into the 80's by the afternoon). Oh, and at the time I'm writing this post, it is currently 40% off!!! Such a steal!! (Nordstrom offers free shipping as well...get on this deal ladies! ;)).

So, let's talk about this leopard print fold-over clutch. In my book, leopard print IS a neutral! Don't be afraid to mix leopard with other patterns (as I mixed it with plaid in this post and I also love the way leopard looks with classic black & white stripes). The key is to make sure you have some of the same colors in the prints your mixing to pull the look together (i.e.: tan or black in the other pattern so it ties in with the leopard print). I also love that leopard can add an instant pop to a monochromatic look just as it does with my all black OOTD above. I have been crushing on THIS Clare V. foldover clutch forever and while I love the original one, when I saw this dupe by Purple Peridot go on sale for $20 online last week, I had to order (currently it's $30)! If you haven't heard of Purple Peridot, it's one of my fave online boutiques that offers adorable jewelry/accessories for a very reasonable price (and only 99 cent shipping). Check them out now, you will definitely find something you love!

Finally, these OTK boots are some of my favorites. I bought them last year & I love how the zipper on the back adds a unique touch (not to mention the zipper ties in with my moto jacket & also the zipper on the clutch!). I love when one unique detail can pull together the whole look!

I'm also super excited to announce that tonight at 8:30 EST, I will be participating in an Instagram giveaway with a few fabulous bloggers!!! Be sure to head over to my Instagram page to enter tonight!!! Thanks so much for reading dolls, have a stylish day!
