Love at First Fit!

Helloooo loves!
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! :) I know I did :) So today I want to share with you one of my summer 2014 obsessions: crochet shorts. Y'all may have seen the ivory pair I posted about here and here, but I also had been on the hunt for some colorful crochet shorts. I was SO excited when I walked by a cute boutique called "Pink & Blue" in my local mall and some bright shorts caught my eye in the store window. When I entered the store I was (slightly) excited to find they were not only crochet but they came in both coral and turquoise, but of course I tried to contain my excitement until I tried them on to see if they really fit or not. So my blog title may be a little bit of a spoiler alert but if you can guess when I tried them on it was love at first...fit? haha! As I have shared before, when I find something I LOVE, I usually want it in every color available, so I decided to go ahead and buy both the coral & turquoise! In today's OOTD, I paired the coral pair with a bright striped tank top from Forever 21 I bought last summer (see how I've styled it on the blog before HERE) with a high curly pony tail, aviators, my favorite summer bag from Target & an iced Starbucks white chocolate mocha for good measure :)

Wardrobe Staple for All Seasons!

TGIF!
Hope y'all had an awesome week! Today I bring to you a wardrobe staple that has been with me through all seasons: the chambray shirt. I have blogged about it during the fall (see how I styled it with a dress HERE and other ideas for how to style it HERE) but I decided it would be the PERFECT compliment to my cream lace shorts for a cooler summer day. Ladies, a chambray shirt is a great investment & I definitely recommend adding one to your wardrobe! I wore mine last week to grab lunch & for shopping with my best blondie blogger Haylie (from Southern Curl Charm, be sure to check out how she's styled a chambray shirt with shorts HERE) & then wore it for dinner that night with another BFF & for some post-dinner putt putt. I just love styling some old wardrobe staples with new purchases (in the outfit below, my shorts & wedges). Here's how my look turned out....

Aviators & A Colorful Maxi!

Hi gorgeous readers!
Happy Thursday (woohoo, don't y'all love Thursday because that means tomorrow is FRIDAY!?). I have made it no secret that I am in loooove with a beautiful maxi dress. There's just something about being able to wear a long dress in every day life without having to be a celebrity on the red carpet that is so glamorous and just plain FUN. What I love even more is wearing a maxi dress that is casual so you can take it from day to night as is the one I'm wearing below. To take maxi dress from day to night....pair it with sandals during the day & glam it up at night with some fancy wedges and some more bling. It's seriously the perfect wardrobe staple for the summer. If you don't have a maxi dress, definitely check out some of my favorites linked at the end of this post! Also, just a side note... the blue mirrored aviators I'm wearing below are quickly becoming my newest obsession. They just scream summer! Here's how my look turned out.....

Hi dolls!
So it's been hot hot hot here in Tennessee, so my goal has been to stay cool, cool, cool....but also fashionable, of course! On my beach trip last month I picked up the ruffle top I'm wearing below at a cute little boutique. My philosophy is you can never have too many white tops in your closet because you can wear them with all sorts of colors. With that being said, I thought I would pair them with my hot pink shorts for an "easy breezy" look! :) I topped it off with my hot pink earrings and my black wedges. Here's how my look turned out....

Ripped Boyfriend Jeans & Leopard Wedges!

I hope y'all had an awesome weekend & are having a good start to your week so far! Today's post features 2 new items that I recently purchased on my shopping trip with my best friends a couple of weeks ago. I had been on the hunt for a good pair of boyfriend jeans all summer. I really wanted some with rips in them for a look that is completely different from the skinny jeans I normally wear. When we were browsing in Gap, I just happened to stumble across a light wash pair of boyfriend jeans with the most perfectly placed rips. They are the "sexy boyfriend" style with a low rise, relaxed in the hip & thigh and have a straight leg opening. I tried them on and they fit perfectly! Oh and to make it even better...they were on sale for around $40 and with an extra 40% off so I ended up getting these for around $22!! I could not pass them up :)
Also while shopping, Haylie (of Southern Curl Charm) and I found (matching!!) Jessica Simpson leopard print wedges that had our name written all over them. They were MAJORLY on sale (75% off!!!) and they only had 2 sizes left (a 7 and 7.5). Just so happened to be our sizes :) It was a moment of fashion serendipity for sure! Here's how my look turned out with my new purchases...
