I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! I was so excited that Santa left me a new digital camera! I've been using my iPhone way longer than I would like to admit for my blog pictures so it's so exciting to finally have a DSLR camera to use instead. My mom snapped the pictures above on Christmas Day in the kitchen at my sister-in-law & brother's house while we were cooking dinner! Of course on Christmas Day it's totally appropriate to wear green & red so I decided my Target red plaid scarf would be perfect for the occasion. Also pictured above are my new Hunter boots (another gift thanks to my precious Nana! She also bought me my first red pair last Christmas!). I decided I need a pair of black Hunters so they would go with anything!

Hi dolls!!
Happy FRIDAY, Happy JUNE, & I am SO happy to be back blogging! :) It's been just a little while since I've posted on here, but hopefully y'all have still been following my fashion shenanigans over on my Instagram page! So as you can see from the pictures above, today I bring you the ultra feminine, girly & BEAUTIFUL tulle skirt!!!
Tulle skirts are not just for ballerinas, but are a true statement piece for any fashionista. I mean let's all remember that Carrie Bradshaw was known to style more than one tulle skirt on Sex & the City! Thus, it's no surprise that I have wanted a tulle skirt for FOREVER, and this Shabby Apple tulle skirt fits exactly what I had envisioned. The skirt is full and the absolute perfect length. It comes in TONS of colors, but I just loved the classic black because I knew it would be appropriate for every season. For my look above, I went with a black, white & red color palette but I'm also excited to wear it with a super bright neon color (hot pink & black anyone!?)!
The thing I love most about the skirt is that it can be dressed up or down. With heels, it makes the perfect outfit for all those summer weddings you may be attending (if your summer schedule is anything like mine). However, it can also be dressed down & styled with sneakers, a t-shirt, & leather jacket. Perfect for this fall as well. What's not to love about such a versatile piece?! Every girl needs one in her closet!

When I saw this dress at Old Navy, I knew I had to have it! I absolutely love the colorful pattern on it. It's really light weight so it's the perfect transitional piece for the type of weather we are having now in Tennessee (you know...30 one day...70 the next...). I wore it this weekend to a good friend's bridal shower & then for a date night with my boo. It also looks great with boots & tights for colder temps. :) I don't know about y'all, but I'm SO ready for some warmer weather! :)

Long time no post!
You'll have to forgive my absence! I've been super busy with nursing school lately (only 59 days until graduation, but who's counting?!) and honestly I haven't been getting as dressed up since I've spent so many days working at the hospital this past month. Now that clinicals are over I will (hopefully) have time to dress up & take pics more! :) So, I don't know about y'all but I am ready for spring! The weather in TN has been crazy lately with snow but yesterday was one of the first days it was actually "warmer" (in the 50s!) so I was able to wear a light cardigan & not freeze to death. I absolutely love this hot pink cardigan I'm wearing above from J.Crew Factory (You need one in every color don't ya think!?). Even though it was warmer...it was still rainy. Thank goodness for Hunter boots to stay dry (yet fashionable!).
