Hi loves!

How is everyone doing!? I'm so excited to share this look with y'all tonight. In the midst of studying for my NP boards, I took a study break to style some outfits for the blog. Can't wait to share all these new looks over the next few weeks, so be sure to follow along on my Instagram HERE, Facebook page HERE, and Twitter account HERE so you don't miss any of my new posts! 😘

So on to this outfit. I absolutely LOVE these pants and think every girl should own a pair in their wardrobe. I bought this exact pair before our honeymoon at H&M and got them in a khaki color as well. Let me tell ya, I've worn them already a TON this summer! They have been my go-to pair of pants for traveling....they are light weight but also warm enough for chilly airplanes & airports. Plus, I love that you can either dress them up or down. So I thought, why not style my favorite pair of pants for fall!?

This time of year is the perfect "transition" time. It's easy to shift your wardrobe from summer to fall by accessorizing with cool weather accessories. In this #ootd, all I simply did was add a leopard print scarf. I bought this exact one from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and have worn it countless ways already! It is definitely my new fall staple, and for under $20, you can't beat the price. I love the way leopard print looks with army green. It's such a chic combination! Also....let's talk about these heels! My serious new obsession and surprisingly they are comfortable! Every girl needs a nude pair of stilettos. They elongate your legs (shout out to the short-leg girls like me! haha), and they literally go with EVERY single color! I love them and am thinking of ordering them in black as well. Another great way to transition these pants into fall is by adding a denim jacket or a chambray shirt!

I appreciate y'all reading! Leave me a comment and let me know what is YOUR favorite way to transition your summer wardrobe into fall!

Fall Florals!

November 1, 2016

{Outfit Details}
Dress: Old Navy (my exact print not online but same style, different prints here and only $12!!, also love this floral dress here)
Leather jacket: BP. (here)
Booties: Old Navy (not online, similar here)

Happy November, dolls! I seriously can't believe November is already here. That means our wedding is only 171 days away and I couldn't be more excited! ::enter huge grin emoji:: ANNNND my wedding dress comes in at the end of this month....I seriously can't wait to put it on again!!!

For tonight's post, I'm sharing with you one of my favorite fall looks: fall florals. I bought this dress during the warmer summer months, but fall'd it up (totally jut made that expression up but I think it's pretty legit lol) by adding booties & my leather jacket. This is a great way to transition your summer pieces into fall. It is STILL in the 80's here in the south, so it's so easy to wear the jacket in the morning when it's chilly and take it off by the afternoon. That is my definition of the perfect fall transition outfit! You could also add a scarf if it was extra chilly. I've linked my exact same dress above, but in different prints (my exact print was not online). Also....this BP jacket is one of my FAVORITE pieces I have bought this fall!! It seriously goes with so many things & is super comfy. Be sure to check it out at Nordstrom!

What are your favorite fall transition pieces!? Leave me a comment and let me know ;)

Thanks so much for reading dolls!

Hi dolls!

I'm beyond excited to say it finally feels like fall here in Tennessee! I had to take advantage of the temps in the 60's for a girl's day out with my Mom. As I approached Mom's car when she arrived to pick me up, she rolled her window down and said "do you want to take some outfit pictures before we leave?" Gosh I love that woman! She has always supported me from day 1 no matter what I'm doing---blogging, being a nurse, studying to be a FNP, wedding planning, etc. I can't thank her enough for her endless support of all my hopes & dreams! Needless to say I took her up on her offer to take some OOTD pics (as you can see above!).

I love this weather because it's not too cold yet, so it is perfect for short sleeves & bare legs; however it is just chilly enough for booties & a scarf. The scarf I'm wearing in this picture is one of my absolute favorites (I may or may not have it in multiple colors/prints!). I love blanket scarfs because they are super practical (warm!) and have enough material where it adds dimension to an outfit with the ability to fold it in multiple ways! I wasn't able to find the exact same print on Target's website as I'm wearing in the photos above; however, the pattern I linked I absolutely LOVE (& will have to buy to add to my collection! ha!). This t-shirt dress has been another one of my faves in my closet this summer and I love transitioning my summer pieces into the fall by adding fall accessories (enter: booties & a scarf). ALSO---I am in love with mixing stripes & plaid.

Thank you so much for reading! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! (oh and GO VOLS!!!)

XOXO

Plaid & Hats

September 15, 2014

{Outfit Details}
Plaid top: Forever 21 (not online, cute option here)
Shorts: Old Navy (here)
Fur Vest: Forever 21 (not online, so many good ones out right now! Love this)
Hat: Forever 21 (not online, love this and this)
Booties: Old Navy (mine not online but I LOVE these!)
Bag: Target (here)
Another day, another fall hat! :) I seriously can't stop buying hats (I currently have 4 and counting....). Since this is one of those trendy items, I really don't want to invest a lot, so luckily I have found some adorable ones at Forever 21 and Target. The one I'm wearing in my OOTD is from F21 & it was only $10 (!!!!!) in stores! I literally bought it just a couple of weeks ago, and even though there's not a link online definitely check your local stores to see if they have it in stock! Another trend this fall that I'm excited is making a come back is the fur vest. I've ALWAYS loved fur vests (past evidence here & here)! I'm definitely going to be buying a new one this season...I have my eye on the one I've linked above from H&M. And of course, I am still loving plaid! Nothing says fall like a plaid shirt. It's so timeless and classic. I decided in this outfit to transition my jean shorts into fall. Don't be afraid to play with your wardrobe ladies :) it's definitely not completely fall weather in TN yet, but that's the perfect opportunity to play with your summer wardrobe and fall it up! :)

Thanks so much for reading!

A Romper Syled for Fall!

August 27, 2014

Happy Wednesday!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful week so far!! The temps here in TN are sooo hot but I am definitely already dreaming about fall & wearing booties, jeans, & fall hats like nobody's business! :) And even though it's hot here, it's not stopping me from already trying to transition some of my summer staples into the fall. Enter: one of my favorite rompers I wore a lot this summer (see how I styled it this summer HERE). I thought I could "fall-orize" (yeah just made that word up) it by adding a chambray shirt. I have a deep love for the chambray shirt. If you don't have one in your wardrobe, I highly recommend getting one for this fall season! It is seriously SO versatile. You can even wear it over a romper and belt it as I did below (and add a pair of booties to "fall-orize" it even more)! :) Hope you enjoy my OOTD! Thanks for reading!!!
